Barbara Streisand says President Donald Trump must share some of the blame for the massacre at a Florida high school this month in which 17 were shot dead.
"I think even that shooter was affected because Trump brings out the violence in people. He says, 'It's OK — rally, lock her up'" the renowned singer and moviemaker said in an interview with Variety published on Tuesday.
Streisand, 75, also says of the commander in chief: "He embodies the nasty remarks he makes about other people. He's a liar. He's crooked."
She believes Hillary Clinton -- who topped Trump in the popular vote in the 2016 presidential race, but not the Electoral College tally — was the real winner of the election.
"I've talked to senators from Michigan and Wisconsin. I do believe, like I believed during [the election of George W.] Bush, they were playing with those voter machines," she tells Variety's Ramin Setoodeh.
"And [Al Gore] lost by 537 votes out of 104 million. And now, in retrospect, Bush looks quite good compared to Trump. At least he's not mean-spirited. He's not a guy who is retaliating for what [President Barack] Obama did at the White House Correspondents' Dinner."
