Twitter accounts operated by ABC News and its morning news program, "Good Morning America" were apparently targeted by attacks from hackers saying they were "Russian" and who "love" President Donald Trump early Thursday morning.

The tweets, beginning at around 6 a.m., were filled with both profanities and with false news reports on the main ABC News page, while the tweets making the claims of Russian hacking and professing love to Trump appeared on the "Good Morning America" site.

The tweets were quickly deleted, within seconds after appearing in most cases. ABC News tweeted confirmation that the accounts had been hacked, and said it was working on the issue.
