Dems Will Use 'Obstruction of Congress' as Partisan Cudgel From Now On

At long last, House Democrats finally unveiled articles of impeachment, Abuse of Power and Obstruction of Congress, as the guts to a rogue impeachment whose roots extend to long before an inaugurated Trump Presidency.

There are those among us who may find no alarm in these proffered and contrived impeachment articles, framed as they are, because there is comfort in the unrealistic prospects of a successful Trump ousting.

However, what if these impeachment articles were to receive some tacit legitimacy or (informal) ratification? Are we truly cognizant of their broader implications? And these implications may well emerge without an impeachment having gone forward, let alone be successful.

In fact, the mere increased use of “Abuse of Power and Obstruction of Congress” as part of the Left’s narratives would result in that aforementioned tacit legitimacy. This would be presumed factually legitimate and uncontested.

The online Merriam-Webster dictionary defines obstruction as "a thing that impedes or prevents passage or progress; an obstacle or blockage." And, ironically, one of its examples of being used in a sentence is, “Passage of the law was delayed by the congressman's obstruction.”

Like it or not, believe it or not, if these articles become the Left’s political cudgel, the deconstructive undermining of our Separation of Powers and Checks and Balances will have begun. To be surely noted and understood, both of these Constitutional tenets must remain as enduringly inalienable as any upon which our American Republic depends.

It is important to note that Abuse of Power and Obstruction of Congress are abstract creations by the Left, without precedence nor “black letter” legitimacy. In other words, the Democrats are making things up, as they proceed, but squarely as spoils to the victors.

On the face of it, these articles translate into, “Don’t mess with the Congressional Majority!”

Thus, it is not a herniating lift to envision impeachment charges of Abuse of Powers and Obstruction of Congress to be laid at the feet any future political challenger — a political Gordian Knot aimed at eliminating political opponents.

And it would be grossly imprudent for one dismissively to believe that the Judicial Branch would enjoy protection against such a scourge, as its judges also would be targeted for impeachment, when having cast the vote creating the obstruction of Leftist ideologues. No one would be protected. No one!

So, if you think that this could never come to pass, not in this backyard, well, remember how Executive Orders once were relegated to no more than the president's oversight over the Executive Branch, only?
