Biden Exploits Black Tribalism for Campaign Advantage

So ... if Donald Trump were campaigning against the Devil himself, Black voters would be compelled to deny their Christian faith to say something glowing about Lucifer.

A state of outrage should be the order of the day after Joe Biden challenged Black voters to vote for him; else, he said, "... you ain't Black!"  However, we might say it was an insult that Blacks can't refuse.

Since 1968, 13% has been the high-water mark for Black votes cast for a Republican president, with 80% being the floor of those who self-identify as Democrats.

So, what's this dustup all about?

Yes, Old Uncle Joe just might be, as suspected, as demented as an outhouse rat, but his indelicate inductive characterization of Black voters rings with a certain delicious elegance in its veracity. And, yes, Old Joe is estranged from tactful diplomacy; however, who in his or her right mind would infer anything different about Black voters? Anyone?

Walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, votes like a duck ... must be a Black voter. Besides, as my dear departed mother would say, "A hit dog will holler!" And the correlation between a "hollering pooch" and a Democrat vote is all but a solid "1.0."

Let's be honest — hardly is there any other way for it to be said. Black voting predictably trends in lock-step tribalism with a history of an unwavering self-destructive preference for Democrats over Republicans — self-destructive, because it ironically has always been the Republican Party whose support has most benefited Blacks.

There is but one cause to which this can be attributed. It is Democrats who have successfully built the Republican brand, not Republicans. They have lionized their party upon the backs of the Republicans by their tireless demonization of the right as those without a heart or concern for the little man, greedy and uncharitable, bald, old and white; thus, Democrats have benefitted from fomenting the belief among Blacks and other minority voters that ruinous ends await those who vote Republican.

But, from as far back as the Emancipation Proclamation by Lincoln — a Republican — and as recently as the Voting Rights Act and the Civil Rights Act, it has been Republicans, not Democrats.

And Blacks have ignored the fact that it was another Republican President — Dwight Eisenhower — who ordered the desegregation of all U.S. schools and went on to defy the Little Rock segregationist governor by sending the National Guard to protect the "Little Rock Nine" — nine Black kids who dared to crossed the line and into an all-white school.

Biden's infraction, though, goes much deeper than a mere offhanded putdown, but to the core of a very different institution of bondage. Hence and by implication, the Democrat Party believes that, without them, Blacks are left aimlessly to flounder, like ghosts without graves, in search of their identity bona fides.

In fact, during the Democrat primaries, recall when Kamala Harris and Corey Booker chastised Biden for admitting to have had no qualms about working with staunch segregationists. At the time, Booker and Harris pretended to be so irate that they may well have come just short of accusing Old Uncle Joe of crimes against humanity.

Yet now, Harris is already backtracking and posturing for Biden's nod as his vice presidential running mate. And it wouldn't surprise even Joe to learn of Booker's pressing to outflank Harris in that maneuver.

All of this will matter not, as we converge on November's Election Day. Behind the nominee ... and it might well be someone other than Biden — Obama will loom as THE Grand Don of the Party. And should any Black voters leave the fold and vote for the party nemesis — Trump — those voters shouldn't be surprised to wake, the morning of November 4th, to find underneath their bed covers a gutted and bleeding Black Diamond watermelon rind and an empty KFC Chicken Box...extra crispy.

But, should Biden benefit from the radiating Obama halo and snatches victory from the jaws of senility, he and his addle brain, without a doubt, will cross the finish line at separate times.

So, we should take care in asking Old Uncle Joe why he said what he said of Black voters. We just might be slain by, "You know me. I call a Spade...a Spade", which would leave one to wonder, if America's Black majority did learn to come in out of the rain, why were they never taught that, in Biden-speak, rain...ain't yellow?
