The North American Union Threatens Sovereignty

The North American Union is a "Borg"-like collective plan to create a regional government.

It is the antithesis of our Constitution and a direct threat to national security and sovereignty.

The Declaration of Independence says, “. . . a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.”

The same holds true if or when an independent country chooses to consolidate with other sovereign countries. So what happened to the “decent respect to the opinions of mankind?"

The NAU "plan to create" a regional government collective comprised of the United States, Canada, and Mexico is inherently anti-American. The threat is not right wing sophistry but stated clearly and directly in a May 2005 task force report published by the Council on Foreign Relations . . . and apparently being implemented without debate or approval of we the people.

Once upon a time I spent an inordinate amount of time and effort reporting on the myriad evils of NAFTA and GATT. Perhaps because of my previous excesses I have been derelict in picking at the scab of the North American Union. However, others have more than adequately filled the void. Dr. Jerome Corsi has done a superb job of delineating the threats to not only our national security but our national sovereignty.

Corsi says the "blueprint" which President Bush is following to create a North American Union was "laid out" in the CFR report, "The CFR report connects the dots between the Bush administration's actual policy on illegal immigration and the drive to create the North American Union."

Despite (or because of) the absence of main stream media attention, the Bush administration is clearly "pursuing a globalist agenda to create a North American Union." This is not some benign partnership agreement but a concerted effort to effectively erase our borders with both Mexico and Canada.

Government NAU policy is being pursued as a "mushroom principle" in which we the people are kept in the dark and fed horse excrement. It is being created "through a process of governmental regulations" and without ever "having to bring the issue before the American people for a clear referendum or vote," Corsi observes.

The globalists are scared spitless that NAU sparks a repeat of the NAFTA debate. NAFTA was supposed to have been similar finessed done deal.

Most people frankly don’t know or care about free trade. NAFTA was supposed to sail through the process without fanfare or attention. However, we almost succeeded in killing the beast. NAFTA passed Congress by one vote (Al Gore’s as president of the U.S. Senate broke the tie).

I often note that it is not a question of who is right or wrong but what is right or wrong that counts.

A recent Foreign Affairs article by Kenneth F. Scheve and Matthew J. Slaughter (www.foreignaffairs.org/20070701faessay86403/kenneth-f-scheve-matthew-j-slaughter/a-new-deal-for-globalization.html) included an opening summary:

“Globalization has brought huge overall benefits, but earnings for most U.S. workers — even those with college degrees — have been falling recently; inequality is greater now than at any other time in the last 70 years . . . To save globalization, policy-makers must spread its gains more widely. The best way to do that is by redistributing income.”

Whose income do you think the globalists want to redistribute? The socialists on steroids don’t intend to tax Mexican migrant workers or Canadian subsistence fishermen and hunters. Willie Sutton robbed banks because “that’s where the money is.”

The NAU is very much a process and not an event.

  • During Bush’s first state visit with Mexican President Vincente Fox they launched the Partnership for Prosperity.

  • Canada established a Security and Prosperity Partnership (SSP) working group within their Foreign Affairs department. Mexico created an extensive Web site for the Alianza Para La Securidad y La Prosperidad de Améica del Norte (ASPAN). The Web site describes ASPAN as "a permanent, tri-lateral process to create a major integration of North America."

  • Leaders of Canada, Mexico, and the United States have adopted SSP of North America, establishing ministerial-level working groups. The purpose of the groups is to address specific North American security and economic issues.

    The globalist power elite are attempting to form a European Union-style North American counterpart. The creation of the North American Super-Highway system with a primary goal to establish trilateral links for the open passage of freight transportation and virtually unrestrained 'migration' of people among the three countries is epic brain flatulence.

    The NAU and the NAFTA Super-Highway is a for real huge honking threat to the sovereignty of the United States.

    The CFR plan/erotic dream calls for the establishment of a "permanent tribunal for North American dispute resolution." Here we go again . . .

    1. Under NAFTA, dispute resolution takes place in executive session (in other words secret "star chambers"). The results of the secret meetings can not be litigated (challenged in court) or legislatively fixed (Congress can not make law to contravene NAFTA).

    2. Under the GATT WTO (World Trade Organization) dispute resolution was more structured (and stacked) http://www.geoffmetcalf.com/wto_20020427.html .

    3. The U.S. Supreme Court is neutered and can’t do jack.

    But the process gets worse . . .

    North American Emergency Management (NAEM) is one of the priority initiatives outlined on the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America Web site.

    The function of NAEM would be similar to that of FEMA's operations during Hurricane Katrina. Ouch!

    "The primary job of the military, FEMA, and Homeland Security is not to protect the American people in times of emergency but to protect the government in times of emergency and keep it functioning. Their primary assignment is, not to rescue people, but to control them.”

    The greatest threat the republic faces is not from terrorist Islamists, or revitalized communism. The greatest threat we face remains “global collectivism."
