A few weeks ago, Donald Trump aptly reminded 331 million Americans that if he "wasn't president, you wouldn't be getting that beautiful 'shot.'"
As of March 27, Americans had received 140 million of the 541 million of the COVID vaccines administered worldwide, or 26%, according to the "Our World in Data" website.
The United States has 4% of the world's 7.8 billion people.
The hapless 27-nation European Union, with 445 million people, has injected only 67 million doses, or 12% of the world's total.
A recent superb article in City Journal, by Dr. Theodore Dalrymple, a distinguished British essayist and retired physician, debunked the abhorrent lies from several European leaders about the availability and efficacy of AstraZeneca's vaccine.
Dr. Dalrymple lambasted EU President Ursula von der Leyen, who is also a physician, and French Prime Minister Emmanuel Macron, for attempting to deflect attention from their inoculation catastrophes, as compared to the successes of world-leading United States, United Kingdom and Israel.
As of March 28, with 331 million people, American states have injected 143 million doses, or a phenomenal "jab-to-population" ratio of 43%.
Russia, with 146 million people, has inoculated just 11 million, or a disgraceful 8% ratio.
While I received two doses of the Moderna vaccine, I wouldn't have taken any of the three Russian-made vaccines.
I would also have rejected any of the vaccines developed by Communist China, which has injected 102 million doses into its 1.4 billion people, or a woeful 7% rate.
Israel, with 9 million people, has injected 10 million doses, or a world-best 111% "jab-to-population" rate.
Germany, the EU's most-populous country with 84 million people, has injected 12 million doses, or a pathetic 14% rate.
France, with 68 million people, has administered only 10 million doses, or a dismal 15% rate.
The United Kingdom, with 68 million people, has jabbed 33 million doses, or a fantastic 49% "jab-to-population" ratio.
Canada, with 38 million people, is led by "Little League" Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, and our northern neighbor has injected just 5 million doses, or a disgraceful 13% "jab-to-population" ratio.
Mexico, with 128 million people, has administered just 7 million doses of COVID vaccines, or a dismal 5% rate.
Between March 24 and March 28, according to the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention, 13 million doses were administered, or a spectacular 3,250,000 per day.
If this daily total is sustained, there will be 200 million doses "shot" into American arms by April 15, or a 60% "jab-to-population" rate.
In three earlier Newsmax articles, I documented America's remarkable vaccination progress since the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines were approved by the FDA in December.
On Jan. 15, 2021, in "States Succeeding or Lagging With COVID Vaccinations," I reported that just 10 million of the 29.4 million doses delivered to the states, only 10.3 million, or 35%, had been injected.
On Jan. 25, in "States Succeeding and Lagging Vaccination States: Part II," I documented that of the 41.4 million doses delivered, 20.5 million, or 50%, had been injected.
In the third installment, on Feb. 9, "Most States Now Succeeding With COVID Vaccinations," I reported that of the 59 million delivered doses, 41 million, or 69%, had been jabbed.
As of March 28, 2021, the CDC is reporting that, of the 181 million doses delivered to the 50 states, 143 million, or 79%, had been administered.
Three simple questions for the world's people are: "Do you want to live in democratic countries with strong, competent leaders, like Donald Trump, Benjamin Netanyahu or Boris Johnson?"
"Do you want to live in democratic countries with ineffectual leaders like Emmanuel Macron, Justin Trudeau or Angela Merkel?"
Do you want to live in totalitarian countries with malevolent emperors like Vladimir Putin or Xi Jinping?
International migration patterns since the 1880s overwhelmingly support the first choice.
Finally, citizens of other countries will also owe a life-saving debt to former President Trump for his historically unprecedented leadership in developing the COVID vaccines and therapeutics.
Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador and Canada's Trudeau have persuaded President Joe Biden to provide millions of doses of the AstraZeneca vaccines.
Inexplicably, while former President Trump contracted in May 2020 to buy 300 million doses of this vaccine, America has not yet joined the more than 50 other countries that are using this safe and efficacious drug.
While the U.S. has tens of millions of dosages of the AstraZeneca vaccine in storage, waiting for approval by the FDA, Caribbean and European countries are also lobbying President Biden to provide them with millions of these doses.
