We have seen much in recent days about the purported public restroom sexual advances of a Republican U.S. senator from Idaho.
This senator’s sin, the liberal media tells us, was not so much his alleged homosexual solicitation as his hypocrisy, preaching puritanical family values while secretly practicing sexual hedonism.
“Hypocrisy,” wrote the French aphorist La Rochefoucauld, “is the tribute that vice pays to virtue.” Most who practice vice acknowledge virtue’s superiority by pretending to be virtuous.
Many of today’s leftists cannot be accused of hypocrisy because they make no secret of their licentiousness and fashionable atheism. Manhattan and Hollywood liberals therefore regard themselves as morally superior to God-fearing monogamous heterosexuals.
But one towering figure on today’s left continues to practice hypocrisy so haughtily brazen, disreputable, dishonest, and transparent that it deserves a new word to describe it.
I hereby dub the hyper-hypocrisy of Sen. Hillary Clinton “Hilpocrisy.”
Hilpocrisy goes far beyond chutzpah, the Jewish word for breathtaking brazenness; e.g., someone who murders his parents, then pleads for mercy on the grounds that he is an orphan.
Consider the $850,000 in campaign contributions Hillary now acknowledges receiving from convicted criminal Norman Hsu and his intermediaries.
She will return this money, Mrs. Clinton told reporters. But, scarcely mentioned in news reports, she then refused to make public the names of any of these middlemen to whom her truckloads of dirty cash purportedly will be returned. No reporter, therefore, can readily trace or link it to previous donations or corrupt sources or prove that Sen. Clinton actually returned it.
Such sleaze is routine with the Clintons. When her husband Bill was president, Asian money men visited the White House many times — in some cases carrying large brown paper bags stuffed with $100 bills — as investigators Edward Timperlake and William Triplett II detail in their book "Year of the Rat."
These Clinton contributors included agents of Chinese organized crime Triad gangs that work hand-in-glove with China’s Communist government.
During the Clinton administration, nearly 150 people with ties to Clinton fundraising fled the country or took the Fifth to escape criminal self-incrimination.
What is Hilpocrisy?
Hillary Clinton pretends to care about women, while enabling her husband's extramarital escapades. But one of the Clintons’ biggest Asian moneymen, who reportedly channeled somewhere between $400,000 and $1.3 million into their and the Democratic Party’s coffers, controls the prostitution business in Macau. He has overseen the abduction, enslavement and rape of thousands of women and young girls.
This is the kind of filthy money that put and kept the Clintons in power and made them multi-millionaires. Such is the money for which the Clintons transferred U.S. military secrets to Communist China.
This is the kind of money that elected and re-elected Hillary Clinton to the U.S. Senate. And this is the money fueling her campaign to regain power over America’s White House.
What is Hilpocrisy?
This week Hillary Clinton in a Senate hearing told our commander in Iraq, Gen. John Petraeus, a military officer of the highest honor, that “the reports you provide to us require the willing suspension of disbelief.” That is, Sen. Clinton to his face called this commander (who, inconveniently for Democrats, has been winning in Iraq) a liar.
Her entire political career, from her miraculous $100,000 from a $1,000 investment in cattle futures through a political favor-seeker in Arkansas, to her feigned surprise that subpoenaed missing Rose Law Firm billing records were found next to her living quarters in the White House, has required a “willing suspension of disbelief” by voters.
What is Hilpocrisy?
Mrs. Clinton claims to be ethical, but she arm-twisted one of the law firms coordinating lawsuits against the tobacco industry to let her brother share in their booty, billing up to $7,000 per hour for his legal work.
Mrs. Clinton claims to oppose terrorism, but to help her campaign for a Senate seat, her president husband pardoned Puerto Rican terrorists involved in the maiming and murder of police officers.
She then described as “murderers” New York City police officers who had never been convicted of any such crime, thereby fomenting minority hatred and violence against all police.
Mrs. Clinton claims to be religious, but one agent from the White House security detail recounted how Hillary sacrilegiously decorated her upstairs, private Christmas tree with sex and drug paraphernalia. Hillary sought to have the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission implement new rules against “religious harassment” in the workplace, making it a potential crime for a boss to wear a yarmulke or have a Bible on his or her desk.
Mrs. Clinton claims to support Israel. But according to her husband’s former campaign strategist Dick Morris, she exhibited clear evidence of anti-Semitism in his presence. When she headed a private foundation, Hillary channeled tens of thousands of dollars to the Palestine Liberation Organization while it was actively practicing violence against Israel, and she helped arrange a fundraiser for the PLO.
Hillary’s 2000 Senate campaign chief fundraiser in New England was a lawyer who argued in behalf of one of the Swiss banks accused of profiting from money the Nazis stole from Holocaust victims. Some of this bloodstained money helped elect Hillary Clinton to the Senate seat from which she now undermines America’s effort to defeat Islamist terrorists only miles from Israel’s borders.
And as those who have followed Hillary Clinton’s career know, this list of her sins and falsehoods could continue for hundreds of pages.
Hilpocrisy now poisons our politics and saps our national will to win. America might not survive another eight years of Hilpocrisy in the Oval Office.
The national liberal media, however, has been too preoccupied with a Republican senator caught with pants down to report Democratic Sen. Clinton’s monstrous hypocrisies.
Honest reporters would ask Hillary to sign a pledge that if elected she will never grant a presidential pardon to Hsu or any other campaign contributor.
Her husband granted questionable pardons through the final minutes of his presidency.
Liberal reporters will never ask for this non-pardon pledge, and Hillary would never sign it.
