A Look Back at Senate Confirmation Hearings for Trump's Top Cabinet Picks

The last two weeks have been a whirlwind of Senate confirmation hearings for President Donald Trump's top Cabinet picks.

From a slew of interruptions from protestors in the audience to testy exchanges between nominees and members of the Senate committees, there hasn't been a dull moment yet.

According to amNewYork, "the Senate does not usually reject Cabinet nominations, but there has been some concern about Trump’s picks, including Exxon Mobil CEO Rex Tillerson for secretary of state. For the most part, however, it won't be difficult for the Senate to reach a simple majority to approve nominations, as Republicans hold the majority."

If the Senate vote on a nominee ends in a tie, the decision will come down to Vice President Mike Pence's vote.
