Climate, COVID Crisis Opportunities Used to Reset a New World Order

Speaking at a 1996 conference in Moscow, former Soviet Union President Mikhail Gorbachev emphasized the importance of using climate alarmism to advance socialist Marxist objectives: ''The threat of environmental crisis will be the international disaster key to unlock the New World Order.''

Gorbachev certainly wasn’t alone in recognizing that world governance priority and opportunity.

In 2000, speaking at a U.N. Conference on Climate Change in The Hague, former France President Jacques Chirac explained the key objective for establishing a Kyoto Protocol carbon dioxide emission reduction treaty, the precursor to the Paris (Climate) Agreement that President Biden has committed the U.S. to join.

Chirac told the audience: ''For the first time, humanity is instituting a genuine instrument of global governance, one that should find a place within the World Environmental Organization which France and the European Union would like to see established.''

And why would the World Environmental Organization wish to establish global governance over climate policy?

Ottmar Edenhofer, an official with the U.N.’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, advised in November 2010 that: ''… one has to free oneself from the illusion that international climate policy is environmental policy. Instead, climate change policy is about how we redistribute de facto the world’s wealth ...''

But what about science? Wasn’t IPCC created to guide humankind to figure out how to stave off an eminent global warming crisis?

Gorbachev, Chirac, Ottmar and others apparently never read the memo. As former Canadian Minister of the Environment Christine Stewart told Calgary Herald editors in 1988: ''No matter if the science of global warming is all phony … climate change [provides] the greatest opportunity to bring about justice and equality in the world.''

World justice and equality? How did they propose to accomplish that?

Maurice Strong who organized the first U.N. Earth Climate Summit (1992) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, explained: ''We may get to the point where the only way of saving the world will be for industrialized civilization to collapse.''

Representing the Clinton-Gore administration policy at Rio, U.S. Undersecretary of State for Global Issues, Timothy Wirth agreed, telling the audience: ''We have got to ride the global warming issue. Even if the theory of global warming is wrong, we will be doing the right thing in terms of economic policy and environmental policy.''

Also speaking at the Rio conference, Deputy Assistant of State Richard Benedick backed the urgency: ''A global warming treaty [Kyoto] must be implemented even if there is no scientific evidence to back the [enhanced] greenhouse effect.''

Those who have been paying attention will recognize a pattern here as we fast forward to strategies currently being proposed by big international power players at the recent World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, that envision opportunities to leverage COVID-19 pandemic social control precedents to entirely ''reset'' global society under a new world order.

For some of us who weren’t invited — I may have misplaced my invitation — The Davos 2021 agenda is described as ''a pioneering mobilization of global leaders to shape the principles, policies and partnerships needed in this challenging new context.''

As the WEF website states:

COVID-19 lockdowns may be gradually easing, but anxiety about the world’s social and economic prospects is only intensifying. There is good reason to worry: a sharp economic downturn has already begun, and we could be facing the worst depression since the 1930s. But, while this outcome is likely, it is not unavoidable.

To achieve a better outcome, the world must act jointly and swiftly to revamp all aspects of our societies and economies, from education to social contracts and working conditions. Every country, from the United States to China, must participate, and every industry, from oil and gas to tech, must be transformed.

In short, we need a 'Great Reset' of capitalism.

Chinese President Xi Jinping cheered Davosian luminaries with all buzzwords befitting the occasion: ''global governance,'' ''inclusive growth,'' ''green development,'' and ''consensus building.''

Days later, Xi buzzed Taiwan with menacing military flyovers.

WEF founder and executive chairman Klaus Schwab optimistically explained that while the level of cooperation and ambition to achieve the Great Reset Initiative would be unprecedented, it ''is not some impossible dream.''

''In fact,'' Schwab enthused, ''one silver lining of the pandemic is that it has shown how quickly we can make radical changes to our lifestyles.''

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau concurred, referring to the pandemic as ''an opportunity for a reset'' to ''reimagine economic systems that actually address global challenges like extreme poverty, inequality, and climate change.''

If you are having some difficulty connecting the unholy marriage of social engineering control reset solutions for two different crises, a COVID pandemic and climate change Armageddon, top Biden health expert Dr. Anthony Fauci offers clarification.

In a Sept. 3 co-authored article in the science journal Cell, Fauci wrote that we must empower the U.N. and other international organizations to ''rebuild the infrastructure of human existence, from cities to homes to workplaces, to water and sewer systems, to recreational and gathering venues.''

Chief among these global U.N. diktats, Fauci instructs, ''are reducing crowding at home, work, and in public places as well as minimizing environmental perturbations such as deforestation, intense urbanization, and intensive animal farming.''

Speaking with other international health authorities on Nov. 12, Fauci imperiously lectured Americans that we will need to curb our ''independent spirit'' and ''do what we are told.''

Although Fauci didn’t explicitly mention putting the U.N. World Health Organization in charge of healing the climate as well … why not?

What more could possibly go wrong?
