The sheer savagery and darkness of the Oct. 7, 2023 Hamas terrorist attacks against Israel still shock the conscience.
Hamas committed terrorism, murder, child decapitation, rape, hostage-taking and torture.
This means, there is no room for moral relativism or shades of gray.
Genuine carnage occurred. Yet a widespread and dangerous "great misunderstanding" persists.
Few individuals understand the timeline and history of Israel, Jews, original Palestine, and 20th Century “Palestinian” Arabs.
The factual timeline is less convoluted than woke politicians, post-boomer academics, and the politicized media want people to believe. And an enumeration of key events in the the history of Israel and the Mideast are helpful, if not essential.
The original Israel had a historical Jewish presence.
Rome conquered the Jews and destroyed their Second Holy Temple in 70 C.E. Rome renamed the region Palestine. This commenced the 5,700+ years Jewish diaspora.
The area remained indistinct, hosting Arabs and Jews.
Zionism arose as a Jewish belief of returning to their historical homeland.
Israel declared itself an independent state following the 1948 United Nations' partition of Palestine. In protest, the five Arab nations of Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, and Syria attacked Israel.
Israel won, resulting in substantial territorial gains.
Arabs rejected the United Nations proposed partition and gave Israel an ultimatum: Statehood would mean eradication.
Arabs preferred Jews living as a minority under Arab rule.
Arab nations attacked Israel in 1956 over the Suez Canal. Again, Israel won.
In 1964, a Lebanese Arab formed the Palestinian Liberation Organization.
"Palestinians" invented themselves. In 1969, Tunisian-born Yasir Arafat became the third PLO Chairman.
Armistice Agreements were misconstrued as peace deals, remaining susceptible to renewal at any time. There were no 1967 borders, only a 1949 armistice line that could be redrawn.
The Six-Day War emanated from disputes between Israel and Egypt over Israeli shipping rights through the Straits of Tiran.
The same five Arab nations waged war against Israel.
Israel won decisively in six days, gaining substantial territory including Gaza, the West Bank and Sinai.
This conflict redefined the regional landscape, making Israel the dominant military power.
From 1967 to 1977, Israel sought to exchange land for peace. Arab states rejected every offer. In 1973, Arabs launched another war against Israel on the holiest Jewish calendar day of Yom Kippur.
While Israel won again, the victory was less overwhelming than 1967.
Arabs in defeat felt they had laid the ground for future victories.
In 1981, Israel bombed Iraq’s Osirak nuclear reactor.
In 1982, war erupted again. Israeli Military General Ariel Sharon desired to go all the way to Damascus.
Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin ordered General Sharon to stand down.
In 2001, Sharon was elected Israel’s Prime Minister.
In 2005, Israel withdrew from Gaza. Hamas took control in 2007, leading to the destruction of regional prosperity.
Once Israel relinquished control, rockets targeted Israel.
This conflict involved Hamas and Israel, with Hamas assuming governmental power. They drew inspiration from Nazi literature.
Hamas’s original charter, though amended, still aspired to eradicate Jews.
Iran, Hamas, and Hezbollah aligned in advocating for the death of all Jews (genocide) as part of their collective charter.
The Grand Mufti in Jerusalem, a frequent guest of Hitler, visited concentration camps and told the Nazis to "work harder" killing Jews.
His direct prodigy was Arafat. The PLO and Hamas remain influenced by Nazism.
Terrorism is a Communist and Socialist tool.
The 1950s Muslim Brotherhood, PLO, Hamas and Hezbollah all adopted terror-based tactics from totalitarian Chinese Communism and repackaged Marxism.
A majority of pro-Palestinian rallies have been organized by hard-left Communist "resistance"-based organizations.
Due to continuous Hamas terrorism, Israel constructed a security fence, established military bases, and developed the Iron Dome defense system. Arabs reject peace negotiations and still support terrorism externally through proxies and internally.
On Oct. 7, Hamas murdered approximately 1200 Jews, wounded over 3,000, and seized 240 hostages. At least 32 Americans have died. Around a dozen Americans remain unaccounted for.
Since Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared war on Hamas, the IDF continues forcefully responding to ongoing attacks.
Leftists absurdly mislabel Palestinians as living under racist apartheid conditions, justifying violence.
Poverty does not cause people to behead infants or rape women in front of their deceased friends. These heinous acts are driven solely by a pernicious ideology seeking genocide of all Jews.
As recently stated by Trump, it seems a one-state solution may remain the most humane path for West Bank and Gaza Arabs.
Rather than remain pawns and martyrs exploited by zealots, Nazis and Communists, their existence could radically improve under peaceful integration with Israel.
Israel expressed for decades its welcome to those wanting peaceful coexistence with them in prosperity and democratic civility.
Israel has a right to emerge reflective of a one-state solution.
Americans must act as a nation of compassionate individuals confronting hard truths with intelligence and honesty.
We must be good and prioritize long-term good, even if unpopular.
Hamas must be eradicated.
America must stand with Israel and allow it to bring regional civility to its entire peninsula and homeland in a one-state solution, if they choose.
