Barely twenty-four hours after Montana’s Rep. Matt Rosendale demanded the resignation of House GOP Conference Chairman Liz Cheney for her vote to impeach President Trump, Virginia’s Bob Good on Wednesday became the second House Republican freshman say that Wyoming Rep. Cheney must leave her leadership post.

“Her decision to impeach the president does not represent the majority of our conference,” declared Good through Twitter, “It has only served to become a Democratic-talking point to be used against our party during this impeachment debate.”

Concluding that “leadership is a privilege and carries with it great responsibility,” Good said “that privilege has been violated and I am calling on her to step down as Republican Conference Chair.”

Coupled with Rosendale’s earlier salvo, Good’s demand is expected to lead more calls for Cheney to leave her leadership post from the rougly 40 Republican House freshmen with whom President Trump has a strong following.

Earlier on Wednesday, Cheney issued a statement insisting she is not going anywhere and will remain as Conference Chair.
