Television commentator Tucker Carlson broke a news story that no national news nor political commentary outlet was touching: Forty-four leftist Democrat members of the U.S. House of Representatives had introduced proposed legislation titled, "H.R. 5383-New Way Forward Act" on Dec. 10, 2019.

Why was there no national reporting of a proposed bill that would radically change American immigration law and policy?

A simple answer is, that the proposed legislation is so radical the national news media knew it would shock the conscience of the American people.

The New Way Forward Act (NWFA) proposed legislation is led by Reps. Jesus "Chuy" Garcia, D-Ill., Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., Pramila Jayapal, D-Wash., Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., and 40 other leftists. This is a precursor of things to
come with Democrats' continued control of the House of Representatives and should America elect a Democrat president.

NWFA is meant to restructure the U.S. immigration system, including breaking the
"prison to deportation pipeline" of criminal aliens by doing away with deportation of
persons who commit crimes of "moral turpitude." It also lessens the "aggravated
felon" category.

In short, crimes that now require automatic deportation would no longer be so under NWFA.

The crime of falsifying a passport would no longer be an immigration crime, and in fact,
persons with or facilitating fake passports would be immune from any criminal penalties.
Drug violations will not be a bar citizenship and will not be grounds for deportation.

Under the Section, "Special Rule for Vulnerable Persons and Primary Caregivers," "vulnerable person" is defined as an individual who, is under 21
years of age or over 60 years of age, or is pregnant, or identifies as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, or intersex, or is a victim or witness of a crime, or has filed nonfrivolous civil rights claim in federal or state court, or has a serious mental or physical illness or disability, has limited English language proficiency and is not provided access to appropriate and meaningful languages services in a timely fashion, and so forth.

The proposed bill would give more discretion to Immigration Judges (IG) under
the guise of humanitarian purposes, to preserve family unity, and if information serves the
public interest.

NWFA advocates push for end of mandatory immigration detention which means
detention of people of color, redefine and negate crimes that have led to deportations,
end using state and local policing authorities to help federal immigration officials as they
have historically targeted communities of color, do away with any penalties for illegal
entry into the United States, eliminate immigration detention centers, and do away with
Title 8, United States Code, Sections 1325 and 1326, which make it a federal crime to
enter the United States without inspection — entering illegally.

These immigration advocates use the words "white supremacists,""unjust
incarceration,""humane treatment," and "children being scarred by trauma of federal
immigration enforcement" to demonize enforcement of the nation's laws.

Lastly, the NWFA would provide for previously deported persons a pathway to
return to the United States, including thousands of persons guilty of sexual assaults, child
abuse, drug or human or weapons trafficking, and other such crimes. U.S. taxpayers
would pay to transport these convicted criminal aliens back to the United States. See
Title VII of the Act — "Right to Come Home."

The theme of this "immigration" proposed legislation is that crime pays and America has no border control.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., acts as though she never heard of this proposed
legislation, and rightfully so. The news media never heard of the proposed legislation.

Why so?

Thanks to Tucker Carlson, Americans are hearing of the New Way Forward Act.
