Obama Fails Miserably on Brexit Influence

The week of June 20, 2016 was not one of President Obama’s better weeks. Which event of the week has caused him, Hillary Clinton, and the Democrats the most angst depends on one’s viewpoint.

On June 20, 2016, The Washington Post posted an article, “Why America’s men aren’t working.” The article asserts that the nation’s workforce continues to fall and that men between the ages of 25 and 54, traditionally the prime working years, are the most affected.

This figure makes the U.S. in that age category the third lowest among developed countries.

Also on June 20, 2016, President Obama’s home town of Chicago recorded 286 gun murders and an estimated 1,530 gun shootings for the calendar year 2016.

Chicago has the strictest gun control laws in the nation. Then, the 24 hours of the morning of June 25 to the morning of June 26, 2016, Chicago had only four gun killings and 26 gun woundings.

On June 21, 2016, the Laredo Sector of the Border Patrol reported during the previous week that 87 illegal border-crossers were rescued due to a lack of water.

The rise of illegal border-crossers across the southern border continues to be based on the belief that President Obama has opened the borders.

On June 23, 2016, the eight member United States Supreme Court split 4-4 in the case U.S. v Texas, thus making no decision, and left the decision of the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals as the law of the case.

The case involved President Obama’s executive actions permitting at least 5 million illegal aliens amnesty by exempting a class of illegal aliens from deportation. Obama’s actions were known as Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) and Deferred Action for Parents of Americans (DAPA) and their expanded successors.

With the Supreme Court tie, the court of appeals in effect closed down Obama’s leading immigration executive orders which the court considered a circumvention of congressional duty.

The decision by the court of appeals also puts in jeopardy the constitutionality of Obama’s all other immigration-based executive orders which by-passed Congress and negated the immigration laws.

Obama and Hillary Clinton both decried the Supreme Court decision. The President vowed to protect undocumented immigrants from by using his discretionary powers.

Obama said the decision didn’t mean anything — this from an alleged constitutional law instructor.

The decision upset the president and Hillary Clinton because they sought to give all illegal aliens access to driver’s licenses, work permits, social security enrollment, taxpayer benefits and credits, and welfare entitlements.

Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, Paul Ryan, R-Wis., said the Supreme Court’s decision means Obama’s actions on immigration are null and void.

He continued to state that the Constitution is clear, Congress writes the laws.

The United Kingdom of Great Britain on June 23, 2016, voted to exit the European Union, which is made up of most of the countries of Europe. The EU is meant to strengthen trade and be a borderless amalgamation of countries with economic common interests.

President Obama traveled to London in April 2016 to influence the Brits to stay in the EU or as he said, “it’s the back of the trade queue (line) for the U.K.” if it voted to leave the EU.

Many British took umbrage to Obama’s threat and Nigel Farage, the leader of the Independence Party extolled Obama as helping the exit cause with his threatening brag.

While speaking at Stanford University last Friday, the president with customary guile, side-stepped any reference to his U.K.-EU faux-pas.

The British vote damaged Obama’s dream to be the leader of the New World globalization party.

Later that day during his fundraising jaunt Obama attended fund raisers in Seattle that came with the price of admission of $10,000 to $ 66,000 per couple.

Obama attacks millionaires and billionaires as bad people and business owners as not doing their fair share to give to the entitlement seekers.

At the same time that he is fund-raising without stop — our borders are trampled, our sovereignty attacked, our foreign policy is adrift; the nation awaits the sticker shock known as Affordable Care Act premiums, Europe is in chaos, Russia eyes additional expansion — and China is expanding militarily.

Meanwhile on June 22, 2016, Democratic members of the U.S. House of Representatives were acting like 1960s radical leftist college students staged a 26 hour sit-in in the House chamber. The once dignified chamber is now a place for the political rabble to act like street thugs and “Banana Republic” wastrels.

Decorum and civility are not in the Democratic lexicon.

“Obama is flying somewhere all the time — and not for American interests. The Democratic congressional members play the fool. What a week!” one wag moaned this Saturday as she left a Capitol Hill restaurant.
