Not since 1776, has this nation ever been in the worst throes of a national unraveling.

Not even the Civil War the nation experienced caused so much loathing and uncivil discourse as the Democrat Party's attempt to influence the 2016 presidential election.

The alleged collusion by President Trump with Russia and/or intimidation of Ukraine is the Democrat’s creation. This creation should be titled as "The Pelosi-Schiff Legislative Fairytale: The Impeachment of President Trump."

Unfortunately, a Democrat-controlled U.S. House of Representatives voted the fairytale into reality.

This present impeachment try will haunt the Democrats in November 2020 -- and beyond.

The myriad of Democratic presidential wannabes and the national news media blame President Donald J. Trump for everything.

Many Americans see Trump's economic success as a person, and now as president -- as the American Dream.

Just as many Americans have lost faith in the U.S. news media because of the unabashed bias they display towards President Trump, and Republicans.

Democratic presidential candidates, radical leftists, and myopic news media mavens — each absent hesitation — blame our 45th president for every global problem.

But, Americans are not forgetting the years of national financial lethargy and "Spygate," the Carter Page foreign intelligence fiasco initiated during the Obama Administration.

The FISA Court, “spy court,” was created by the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) (50 USC sections 1801 et al).

The FISA Court is made up of eleven members of the federal judiciary, appointed by U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts to administer the day-to-day operations of the FISA Court.

Those judges are meant to provide legal oversight regarding certain surveillance activities of government intelligence operations.

The FISA presiding Judge approves or disapproves government applications of electronic surveillances of foreign nationals outside the United States.

It now appears that the FISA Court was a mere rubber stamp, approving all applications with little or no questions as to the appropriateness and legality of those applications. Since FISA Court applications and decisions are secret, this reflects very little control of the that court's operations.

The Department of Justice (DOJ) Inspector General Michael Horowitz's 476 page report on FISA abuses was made public on Dec. 9, 2019 .

Among other revelations was the announcement of at least 17 significant errors or omissions in applications pertaining to Carter W. Page, a U.S. citizen.

The report found many problems with conduct of DOJ and FBI officials.

The FBI code name for its counter-intelligence investigation of Page and Donald J. Trump in 2016-2017 was "Crossfire Hurricane."

The investigation of Page and the Trump campaign included acts by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and the National Security Agency (NSA). "Crossfire Hurricane," officiallybegan on July 31, 2016.

This FBI work was assumed by Special Counsel Robert Mueller's investigation of 2017-2019.

The Horowitz Report criticized the FBI chain of command, “We are deeply concerned that so many basic and fundamental errors were made by three seperate, hand -picked investigative teams; on one of the most sensitive FBI investigations . . . “

Further, the report states, “We believe this circumstance reflects a failure not just by those who prepared the FISA applications, but also by the managers and supervisors in the Crossfire Hurricane chain of command, including FBI senior officials . . . “

The Horowitz Report detailed that four wiretap surveillance of Carter Page applications lacked proper verification.

Some FBI officials and agents involved in the Page matter obviously knew that the material and representations presented to the FISA Court were false, fraudulent, or improper. It appears that exculpatory omissions that would have voided the applications of authorized wiretaps were omitted.

It seems that some DOJ and State Department officials were also complicit in the scheme to knowingly and illegally obtain surveillance authorizations of Page and Trump.

In December of 2019, after the Horowitz Report was promulgated, Judge Rosemary Collyer of the FISA Court slammed the FBI for misleading the FISA Court.

In harsh words, the Judge Collyer condemned the FBI for lack of candor and duping the Court.

However, Congressman Devin Nunes, R-Calif., then Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee wrote Judge Collyer on Feb. 7, 2018 that the FBI Page application was not corroborated and that there were other problems with the entire Page inquiry.

Congressman Nunes sent another letter to Collyer on June 13, 2018, declaring that the DOJ and FBI failed to disclose important information to the Court.

Collyer gave Nunes's letters little attention. Judge Collyer left as presiding Judge in December 2019 for health reasons.

Judge James Boasberg was appointed as her replacement.

This is just part of the prelude to ongoing U.S. Attorney General Barr’s and U.S. Attorney John Durham’s investigations.
