Nan Hayworth - Biography
Nan Hayworth is a former Republican member of the U.S. House of Representatives. The first and only female physician to serve as a voting member of Congress, she was named one of the five “highest-profile freshmen” by Politico. She is a regular commentator on CNBC, CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, and Newsmax TV.
A board-certified ophthalmologist, Hayworth practiced for nearly two decades in Westchester County, N.Y. She serves on the boards of ConservAmerica, the Independent Women’s Forum, and United Way, among many others.
She has an AB summa cum laude from Princeton University and an MD from Cornell University Medical College, where she earned the Polk Prize for graduating at the top of her class. Hayworth is an assistant clinical professor at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York and an inaugural member of the Princeton University Department of Politics Advisory Council.
