Larry Casey - Biography

Larry Casey is a Florida-based attorney, who is active in international business, mostly focused on China and Japanese market. He is also engaged in a number of entrepreneurial endeavors in the automotive, financial and consumer markets.

The nephew of the late William J. Casey, who served as President Reagan’s campaign manager in 1980 and as director of the Central Intelligence Agency in the Reagan administration, Mr. Casey has also held senior management positions in the Reagan, George H.W. Bush, and George W. Bush administrations. In addition, he has served as CEO of a Regional Red Cross in Florida.

Mr. Casey has more than 13 years experience on Capitol Hill working with members of the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate.

While in Washington, he served as Chief of Staff to two Members of Congress; the Hon. George Wortley and Hon. Mike Forbes, both of New York, and as Counsel to the Hon. Jack Kemp of New York.

He also served on the staff of The Hon. Hamilton Fish, Sen. John Chafee of Rhode Island and as a Counsel/District office leader to Rep. Clay Shaw of Florida

Mr. Casey’s appointments by Presidents Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush and George W. Bush included posts in the Departments of Commerce, Agriculture, and Labor, most recently as Associate Deputy Under Secretary of Labor for International Affairs. He has also been an attorney with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

Immediately prior to his service with Congressman Shaw, Mr. Casey was an experienced and widely traveled international businessman and public affairs/political strategist. He founded a firm, McCary & Rood Inc., in which he was one of three partners, and had affiliated offices in Las Vegas, New York, Washington, Osaka, and Shanghai.

The firm specialized in initiating joint ventures, business enterprises and strategic alliances in the Asian market, particularly Japan and China. Mr. Casey has also represented and advised leaders of certain foreign nations on international policy matters.

Mr. Casey also founded the Global Intelligence Network a company based in Las Vegas, Nevada, specializing in confidential private international business intelligence research including corporate due diligence, business development, and global strategic alliances.

With more than 25 years in business, public policy, and government, Mr. Casey has also achieved success as a political consultant/campaign manager in dozens of federal and state elections in New York and Florida.

Mr. Casey has personally traveled to more than 60 countries on official and private business matters. He has a working knowledge of five European and Asian languages and has delivered numerous public speeches on topics ranging from international business and intelligence matters, to politics, public policy and government relations.

He Chaired the International Committee of the Governor's Club of the Palm Beaches, was a member of the World Trade Center Advisory Council, and has lectured at Florida Atlantic University and Stetson Law School on international business customs laws and courtesies. He also sat on the Board of Trustees of Sunshine Stage Productions, and has made numerous guest appearances on nationally syndicated talk shows.

Mr. Casey resides in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.
