Wall Street Remains at Odds With Obama

Many experts believe President Barack Obama has acted as Santa Claus to Wall Street ever since he was elected. Not one Wall Street executive has been prosecuted for the near collapse of our financial system. And bankers’ bonuses have rebounded to record highs, while their institutions remain laden with toxic assets. But that’s not enough for Wall Street execs, Politico reports.

obama, business, banksTheir latest complaint about Obama is that when he met recently with a group of CEOs, he left out the six biggest banks. "If they don't hate us anymore, why weren't any of us there?" a senior executive at one of the banks tells Politico.

"It's not so much just this one thing,” he said. “Who cares about one event? It's just the pattern where they tell you things are going to change, that they appreciate what we do, that capital markets are important, but then the actions are different and they continue to want to score political points on us."
