Trump: Boehner ‘Doing Good Job’ on Budget

Real estate mogul/reality TV star Donald Trump approves of House Speaker John Boehner’s handling of the difficult budget negotiations, The Hill reports. Boehner is hemmed in by fiscal hawks who seek massive spending cuts and Democrats who will accept only small reductions.

"I think Boehner's doing a good job, but he's trying to get the best number he can," Trump, who’s considering a bid for the Republican presidential nomination next year, said in a new weekly segment on Fox News.

He also expressed support for Rep. Paul Ryan, R-Wis., chairman of the House Budget Committee, who has authored a plan to cut $4 trillion in spending over the next decade. "The really big one's going to be what Paul Ryan, who I think is also a terrific guy, -- what he's trying to do. That’s the long-term picture," Trump said.
