Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin has had a speaking engagement at Colorado event canceled because of "an onslaught of personal attacks," re

Washington Post. Palin was scheduled to speak on May 2 at the Patriots & Warriors Gala at the Infinity Park Event Center in Glendale, Colo., to help raise money for military families.
But the event was canceled on Saturday, according to a press release that stated: "Due to an onslaught of personal attacks against Gov. Palin and others associated with her appearance, it is with deep sadness and disappointment that, in the best interest of all, we cancel the event for safety concerns."
Organizers of the event said Palin was not directly threatened.
