House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is “The Biggest Loser” of 2010 in a
National Journal poll of political insiders asked to name who had the best year in politics, and the worst. “The Biggest Winner” was incoming House Speaker John Boehner, who is riding the Republican electoral landslide of November right into Pelosi’s job.

Boehner received the most “winner” votes of any politician named by the Journal’s 213 in-the-know poll respondents. Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin finished second among the winners, followed by Democratic Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, who defied predictions that Nevadans would vote him out.
Among the losers, only President Barack Obama trailed Pelosi in the vote total. “No. 3 Loser” was outgoing Florida Governor Charlie Crist, a former Republican who ran for the Senate as an independent and lost to the GOP candidate.
