While defending his healthcare reform plan last year, President Barack Obama promised Americans they will be able to keep the insurance they already have if they desire to do so. A new poll from Rasmussen Reports shows there are a lot of voters who don’t believe him,
The Hill reports.
The survey indicates that 45 percent of voters with healthcare insurance believe they will have to change coverage, whether they want to or not, including 26 percent who say it is “very likely.”
Meanwhile, 46 percent of respondents say it's unlikely they will have to make a change, including 19 percent who believe it’s “not at all likely.”
Clearly most people don’t want a change. The poll shows 76 percent of voters with insurance consider their coverage “good or excellent,” while 4 percent view it as poor.
