Obama: People Have 'Funhouse Mirror' Image of Me

Sunday, 06 February 2011 06:03 PM EST

WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama says he doesn't take it personally when people say they hate him.

People who say they don't like him, he says, don't really know him. He says they're just reacting to "whatever funhouse mirror image" of him that is out there.

Said Obama: "The people who dislike you, don't know you. The folks who hate you, they don't know you."

Obama spoke Sunday in a live interview during Fox's pre-game coverage of the Super Bowl between the Green Bay Packers and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Obama said he'll watch the game, but wouldn't pick sides since his beloved Chicago Bears didn't make it to the final.
