Republican presidential hopeful Mike Huckabee is scheduled to appear on "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno" when the show resumes taping on Wednesday.
Jay’s show has been shut down since the Writers Guild of America went on strike against the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers on Nov. 5.
Leno and several other late-night talk-show hosts said they would go back to work in January without their writers to protect the jobs of their shows' non-writing employees.
But many Hollywood celebrities are reluctant to appear on the shows because they are concerned with breaking solidarity with the still-striking WGA, The Hollywood Reporter noted.
"The Late Show With David Letterman" will feature Donald Trump as a guest on Wednesday, UPI reported.
Letterman's production company reached a separate deal with the WGA that will return its writers to work, as well as those who work on "The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson.”
