Hillary, Obama Neck and Neck in Iowa

Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama are now locked in a virtual tie in early caucus state Iowa, the latest poll reveals.

The University of Iowa Hawkeye Poll of likely Democratic caucus-goers released Monday morning showed Clinton slightly ahead with 29 percent of the votes, with Obama close behind at 27 percent. John Edwards trails with 20 percent.

The margin of error is plus or minus 5.5 percentage points.

On the Republican side, Mitt Romney leads with 36 percent of the votes, while Mike Huckabee has pulled into a tie for second place with Rudy Giuliani, each getting 13 percent. Fred Thompson received 11 percent.
