Sen. Kyl: Healthcare Bill Can't Be Fixed

Sunday, 29 November 2009 11:06 AM EST

The No. 2 Republican in the Senate is urging his Democratic colleagues to start over in crafting a bill to overhaul the healthcare system.

But that's not likely given that debate on the bill is set to begin this week.

Democratic Sen. Evan Bayh of Indiana says it might be impossible to come up with an ideal solution for dealing with problems in the healthcare system. But Bayh says doing nothing is not a good idea, either, though he still has many questions about the Senate bill.

In the end, Bayh says, any bill the Senate passes may be imperfect.

Kyl and Bayh appeared on "Fox News Sunday."
