Hillary: I Know Nothing

Sunday, 11 November 2007 09:55 PM EST

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton said Sunday that she had no idea that her presidential campaign had planted questions during public appearances.

"It was news to me," Clinton said, according to Fox News. "And neither I nor my campaign approve of that. And it will certainly not be tolerated."

Last week, Clinton's campaign had a Grinnell College student ask Clinton a question about climate change during a stop in Waterloo, Iowa. According to Geoffrey Mitchell, 32, the campaign also approached him about asking a question regarding the funding of the Iraq war and the withdrawal of U.S. troops.

When asked Sunday if there were any other similar incidents, Clinton said: "You know everything I know."
