The easy part of House Speaker John Boehner’s tenure already has run its course. But the unanimity will come to an end soon, as Boehner has to deal with differing Republican views on a continuing budget resolution to finance government operations this year, a longer-term plan to cut the budget deficit and Democrats’ effort to push the government debt ceiling beyond its current limit of $14.3 trillion.
“We have to work our will in the House. We have to work with our colleagues in the Senate and put something on the president’s desk,” Boehner says.
