Legendary radio talk show host and Newsmax columnist Barry Farber has been nominated for induction into the National Radio Hall of Fame.
A press release from the Hall of Fame says Farber is “known for his Southern drawl, intensity, and conservative views.”
Farber launched his radio career in New York in 1960, and began hosting a national talk show on the ABC Radio Network in 1990. He became a regular columnist and pundit for Newsmax in April 2000.
In 2002, Talkers magazine identified Farber as the 9th greatest radio talk show host of all time.
Barry is now on Talk Radio Network, hosting a weekend show and filling in for weekday hosts.
Other 2008 Hall of Fame nominees include Dr. Laura Schlessinger, Bob Costas, Bob Grant and Howard Stern.
