This is one of my favorites subject to talk about: skin.
I had trouble with acne and skin conditions in my teens, and thought I was doomed forever until I learned the secret to beautiful skin.
I had been on an endless journey, trying every cream, potion, and lotion that promised to heal my skin. But it was only getting worse.
Then I learned the secret. I learned that stress, bad diet, and lack of exercise were the keys to terrible skin.
I decided to stop using all those miracle products. I washed my face daily and cleaned up my bad diet — and that was the ticket to clearer skin.
Now that I am older, I have found that I not only nutritional support but also external support as well. I want to give you insights on my 10-year journey to beautiful skin.
What You Eat Creates Your Skin
If you want a pizza face, eat a pizza. In the average diet, we eat too many inflammatory foods that cause the skin to break out. These include:
• Hydrogenated oils
• Excess sugars
• Omega-6 fatty acids
• Estrogenic toxins
Soda and excess caffeine were the worst triggers for me. I was so out of balance on what I ate and drank that my skin was always inflamed.
But then I got smart. I added in more fruits and vegetables to my diet, increased my water intake, and cut out my addictions to sugar and caffeine. Finally, I reduced my stress.
Topical Solutions
I now have a great organic skin routine: \
• Washing your face daily with an organic face wash from Acure
• Using toner, an astringent substance that further cleans the skin
• Using moisturizer for dry skin
• Using a clay mask twice a week to draw out toxins and tone the skin
• Exfoliating once a week to get rid of dead skin cells
For more complex treatments I would recommend seeing a holistic skin care specialist.
Skin is the outward organ that shows other what is going on inside you. I have gained so much confidence back since my skin healed.
