Jimmy Fallon's Gruesome Injury

Monday, 29 June 2015 12:16 PM

Jimmy Fallon was hospitalized and had minor surgery on his left hand after suffering a nasty injury to his finger Thursday, but is doing "totally fine," a representative for "The Tonight Show” said.

The Los Angeles Times reports that the injury forced Fallon to cancel Friday's taping of the show. Friday afternoon, Fallon tweeted a photo of his heavily bandaged hand and detailed what happened, claiming that he suffered the injury after a night on the town following Thursday's taping.

"Tripped and caught my fall [good thing]! Ring caught on side of table almost ripped my finger off [bad thing]," the 40-year-old tweeted, adding "#drugged #blessed."

Fallon said he's "doing well" and thanked his fans for their "good wishes."
