Hugh Jackman Reveals Second Bout of Skin Cancer

Friday, 09 May 2014 04:38 PM

Actor Hugh Jackman has revealed on his Instagram account that he has had another skin cancer lesion removed from his face and is urging his fans to wear sunscreen.

The  45-year-old actor posted a picture of himself with a bandage on his nose over the wound.

"Another Basel Cell Carsinoma [sic]. All out now," the Wolverine said. "Thanks Dr. Albom and Dr. Arian. PLEASE! PLEASE! WEAR SUNSCREEN!"

Six months ago the Australian actor underwent a procedure to remove what was diagnosed as basal-cell carcinoma — a common, easily treatable form of skin cancer — removed from his face.
