Healthy Super Bowl Snacks

Even if you’re not a Denver Broncos or Carolina Panthers fan, chances are you will be tuning in to Super Bowl 50 on February 7. Last year’s game had 114.4 million viewers, making it the most-watched television show in U.S. History.

But let’s be real: Many who attend Super Bowl parties aren’t even football fans, but they all have one thing in common — they love the food.

It’s ironic that one month after making New Year’s resolutions to drop a few pounds and eat healthier, you have an excuse to indulge in so many Super Bowl snack favorites like chicken wings and chips with heavy dips.

But how about healthy, quick, easy, and delicious snacks instead? And I’m not talking the same old veggie and hummus tray.

Put together a platter of delicious cheese and KIND Bar’s Strong and Kind bar line pairings, and you’ll have everyone asking for more.

You really can’t get much healthier. The bars available in KIND’s bold and savory line are high in fiber and packed with 10 grams of protein from healthful ingredients like whole almonds, seeds, and pea crisps.

Simply cut the KIND bars of choice up into little cubes and put the paired cheese on top with a toothpick.

Here are three crowd pleasers:

1. KIND Honey Smoked BBQ Bar and Sharp Cheddar Cheese
The Honey Smoked BBQ bar is smoky, tangy and oh-so yummy with a slight little kick at the end. It pairs perfectly with a good sharp cheddar cheese.

2. KIND Roasted Jalapeno Bar and Blue Cheese/Roquefort
For those who like it hot, this is the choice for you. Cool off the hotness with blue cheese or Roquefort. A much healthier choice than chicken wings and blue cheese, that’s for sure!

3. KIND Honey Mustard Bar and Parmigiano-Reggiano
It’s hard to deny a bar that is equally sweet and spicy; this bar pairs wonderfully with Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese.

Serve these tasty appetizers at your Super Bowl party and convince everyone that healthy can be delicious too.
