Tabloid Report: Teen Ate Only Chicken Nuggets

Thursday, 26 January 2012 05:26 PM EST

Take this one with a shaker of salt: The Sun tabloid is reporting that a British teenager rushed to the hospital after collapsing with breathing problems told doctors she has eaten a diet largely comprised of chicken nuggets since the age of two.
Stacey Irvine, 17, of Birmingham in central England, was reportedly recovering at home this week after being put on an urgent course of vitamins -- which started in the hospital with injections.
But here’s the kicker The Sun reports: “Despite medics begging her to change her diet she still cannot get enough of chicken nuggets.”
The publication quoted her saying: "I am starting to realize this is really bad for me."
After Irving was rushed to the hospital, doctors said she told them she has never touched fruits or vegetables. She was diagnosed with anemia.
"McDonald's chicken nuggets are my favorite,” she told The Sun. “I share 20 with my boyfriend with chips. But I also like KFC and supermarket brands. My main meal is always chicken nuggets every day."
