High-Tech Bed Fights Snoring

Wednesday, 08 January 2014 03:17 PM

Beds have undergone a revolution in recent years, with new models adjusting to your body type and allowing you to choose how soft or firm you'd like. But Sleep Comfort has unveiled a new bed that the company claims can monitor your heart rate and sleeping patterns, and even help ease snoring, too.
Time.com reports that the new high-tech bed contains built-in sensors that track your sleep habits and vital signs.
If your spouse snores, you can also hit the "Partner Snore" button to tilt the head section of his or her side of the bed upward by six degrees — enough to help stop the snoring.
The bed also allows you to review your data in the morning with the connected app to see your sleep score — and/or compare it to your partner's score.
A big trend at this year's CES show has been new lines of wearable technology. But instead of wearing a gadget to bed to track your vital signs and sleep habits, the Sleep Comfort bed does it for you.
The bed goes on sale on February 8 in a queen-size version for $8,000. The company expects to roll out a more expensive king-size version and promises to make some of its features available as options on all of its beds — which start at $1,000 — by the end of the year.
