Conditions That Benefit From Cannabis

Several states, including Florida, are legalizing marijuana for medical use. What you should know is that the cannabis sativa plant (marijuana) has two potent compounds.

One is tetra hydro cannabis (THC), which is the psychoactive component of the plant, which is what makes you "high." The other is cannabidol (CBD), which offers medical benefits for many different types of conditions — and has no psychoactive component.

Medical conditions that can be helped by the CBD in marijuana include acne, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), addictions, AIDS, ALS, Alzheimer’s disease, anorexia, antibiotic resistance, anxiety, arthrosclerosis, arthritis, asthma, autism, bipolar disorder, cancer, colitis, Crone’s disease, depression, diabetes, endocrine disorders, epilepsy and seizures, fibromyalgia, glycoma, heart disease, Huntington’s disease, inflammation, irritable bowel syndrome, kidney disease, liver disease, metabolic syndrome, migraines, mood disorders, motion sickness, multiple sclerosis (MS), nausea, neruodegeneration, neuropathic pain, obesity, OCD, osteoporosis, Parkinson’s disease, mad cow disease, PTSD, rheumatism, schizophrenia, sickle cell anemia, skin conditions, sleep diseases, spinal cord injury, stress, and stroke.
