U.S. Behind in HBOT

By    |   Thursday, 13 September 2018 04:34 PM

Senator John McCain recently died of a type of cancer called glioblastoma multiforme, the same brain tumor that killed Senator Ted Kennedy and the son of Vice President Joe Biden. There is evidence that hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) given immediately before radiation therapy can increase the survival of a glioblastoma patient by 50 percent.

In the United States, we have only 14 approved indications for HBOT. Russia has 73, and there are also many more indications in Israel, Mexico, China, Canada, and almost all other countries.

That’s why I say that HBOT is the best kept medical secret in the U.S.  In my opinion, we need to increase the use of HBOT.

I recently spoke to a patient whom had I treated in 1982. She was given a 5 percent chance for five-year survival because of a synovial cell sarcoma of the chest wall. I treated her with radiation therapy, but administered HBOT immediately before each treatment. Today she is free of disease and doing very well.

There are plenty of data supporting hyperbaric oxygen therapy. We need to figure out why the U.S. is so far behind in accepting and utilizing this important treatment.

For more information on HBOT, I refer you to my book, The Oxygen Cure, available at Amazon and other book stores.
