Sinus Surgery Hasn't Helped

Thursday, 12 January 2012 09:50 AM

Question: I had laser surgery on my sinuses to stop recurring infections. But now the infections are coming back. I also have problems with dizziness. What else can be done? I am a 35-year-old man.

Dr. Hibberd's answer:

It is common for a minor degree of dizziness to be present during head motion after sinus surgery. It should not increase; if it does you have to go back to your surgeon. Recurring infections means that the underlying cause of your sinusitis was not addressed by the surgery.
