Can Hair Loss, Fatigue, Irregular Periods Be Related?

By    |   Wednesday, 11 September 2013 10:30 AM

Question: I am suffering from irregular periods, hair loss, and fatigue. What could be causing this and what remedies can help me?

Dr. Hibberd's answer:
There are multiple causes for the conditions you have. Most are not diseases, but are related to stress, poor sleep habits, depression, an unhealthy diet, or sudden weight loss. Hormonal disorders, diseases, cancer, HIV, pelvic organ illnesses, and other conditions can cause these symptoms, as well.
But you should see your doctor for a targeted health screen to determine what's at the root of your problems. It's possible stress management is all you need. But you should see a professional.
