Are My Vitamins Causing Cancer?

Wednesday, 30 June 2010 10:36 AM

Question: My husband read that vitamins might possibly feed any cancer present in the body and now won't take a basic daily multi-vitamin. We are in our 60s, and I feel a benefit in energy and mental alertness from the vitamin.

Dr. Hibberd's Answer:

You may disregard that publication. There is no controlled evidence that vitamins cause or accelerate cancer. Continue with your multi-vitamin supplementation, especially with the energy and mental alertness benefit you have noticed.
