Saturated Fats Maintain Cell Health

David Brownstein, M.D. By Tuesday, 16 April 2019 04:23 PM EDT Current | Bio | Archive

Saturated fats are beneficial because they are necessary for the utilization of essential fatty acids as well as being good sources of fat-soluble vitamins.

Without adequate amounts of saturated fats, our cells will suffer.

Saturated fats give cells the strength to maintain their structure for optimal brain function.

They are especially important for a baby’s and growing child’s brain.

Foods like coconut oil, butter from grass-fed cows, and free-range, organic eggs all supply the body with good sources of saturated fat.
