Safer Ways to Use a Cell Phone

Mobile phones use electromagnetic field (EMF) radiation in the microwave range to send electronic signals to towers, which eventually relay that signal to its final destination. It is ludicrous to deny that cell phones are a health danger.

The World Health Organization says that mobile phones represent a long-term health risk and are possibly carcinogenic.

The National Toxicology Program under the National Institutes of Health conducted the largest animal study on cell phone radiation and cancer.

The results confirm that cell phone radiation exposure at levels within the currently allowable limits were the likely cause of brain and heart cancers in the animals, according to Dr. John Bucher, associate director of the NTP.

When you keep your cell phone on, it is constantly searching for texts and messages. If you are near the phone, that means you are constantly exposed to wireless radiation.

At home, it is best to keep the phone some distance from you, especially your head.

It’s also best to never put the phone directly to your ear. Instead, you should use the speaker or an ear device that does not transmit the radiation directly to your ear and brain.

At night, keep a cell phone powered off or at least three feet away from your body.
