Is Fasting Beneficial?

Monday, 07 January 2013 08:42 AM

Question: I would like to do a 7 to 10 day fast, but am not sure if it is really a good thing to do. Is fasting a good way to help detoxify your body?

Dr. Blaylock's Answer:

Studies have shown that a fast one day a week is just as beneficial as prolonged fast, so there is no need for such a lengthy fast. In addition, there are risks to a prolonged fast, such as significant hypoglycemia and fainting, which can lead to a head injury. It is also difficult to function when you are so weak.
