The New York Daily News resurrected its most famous front-page headline on Friday when it reacted to the president's decision to withdraw the United States from the Paris accord, screaming on Page One: "TRUMP TO WORLD: DROP DEAD."
The stark words echoed the Daily News's well-remembered front-page on Oct. 30, 1975 when it reacted to President Gerald Ford's refusal to give federal assistance to New York City, which was on the verge of bankruptcy.
That headline read: "FORD TO CITY: DROP DEAD."
For Friday's front-page, the newspaper placed its five explosive words over a huge picture of a grim-faced Trump, leaving only his eyes completely visible.
