Trump: Melania Was 'Fantastic' on TV

By    |   Tuesday, 18 October 2016 03:55 PM

Melania Trump was "fantastic" in her interview Monday with Anderson Cooper on CNN, Donald Trump told Newsmax TV on Tuesday.

"I thought she was fantastic last night," the presidential nominee told "The Joe Pags Show" in an interview.

Melania Trump defended her husband against sexual assault allegations brought by as many as 10 women in recent weeks and blamed former "Access Hollywood" host Billy Bush for egging him on in a 2005 video recording that led the accusers to come forward.

Trump also defended his wife from attacks that she has suffered during the campaign, including those questioning her citizenship status.

"They said she was in the country illegally — and she had it down to the absolutely penny in terms" of what was required by immigration authorities, Trump said.

"She's a very precise person and everything was perfect, but they said she came into the country illegally — and it turned out to be false.

"She had to go through lawsuits and all this other stuff, but she came in the way you're supposed to come in — and she was even criticized for that."
