Cuban-Americans are "especially hurt and ashamed" by positive comments made by President Barack Obama regarding the death of Fidel Castro, MSNBC reported.

One person even used the word "humiliated" Obama was overly lenient to Castro when he said the dictator had "enormous impact," MSNBC reported.

"They cannot believe some of the world reaction . . . about Fidel Castro," MSNBC correspondent Mariana Atencio reported.

"But they tell me they are especially hurt and ashamed — one even used the word humiliated — by President Obama's statement . . . the President calling Castro a singular figure who had enormous impact, but didn't really use the word dictator."

On the flip side, many Cubans were "praising and thanking Donald Trump for his statement, the president-elect calling Castro a 'brutal dictator who oppressed his own people,'" according to the MSNBC report.
