Most voters think Hillary Clinton will win the presidency, say the loser should concede, and believe Donald Trump will not abide election results, according to a CNN/ORC poll release Tuesday.

The results:

  • 7 out of 10 think Clinton will win;
  • 8 out of 10 say the loser has an obligation to concede;
  • 61 percent believe Trump would not concede.

However, 56 percent of Trump supporters think he would concede vs. 75 percent of Clinton supporters who say no.

Voter confidence in the integrity of the election is actually up from 2008, according to the survey.

More than 6.5 out of 10 voters have some confidence that votes will be accurately cast and counted, up from 58 percent in 2008. However, only 49 percent of Trump supporters share that confidence in the election results.

The CNN/ORC poll was conducted Oct. 20-23 among a random national sample of 1,017 adults, including 916 registered voters. The margin of sampling error for results among the full sample and among registered voters is plus or minus 3 percentage points.
