Economic and other factors are causing some cities to grow dramatically while others shrink. The Grayline Group noted a trend in the U.S. where people are flocking to certain urban areas, as well as industry-specific hubs.

So which cities are gaining the most population? Each year U.S. News conducts a survey to determine exactly that, and their latest information is based on data reflecting net migration habits from 2013 to 2017. 

Here we look at the top 10  cities that people are moving to by percentage:

10. Charleston, South Carolina

Metro Population: 744,195 

Median Home Price: $246,408 

Net Migration: 7.97% 

9. Melbourne, Florida

Metro Population: 568,183 

Median Home Price: $198,425 

Net Migration: 8.74% 

8. Orlando, Florida

Metro Population: 2,390,859 

Median Home Price: $233,050 

Net Migration: 9.28%

7. Lakeland, Fla

Metro Population: 652,256 

Median Home Price: $171,967 

Net Migration: 9.91% 

6. Austin, Texas

Metro Population: 2,000,590 

Median Home Price: $292,500 

Net Migration: 10.09% 

5. Port St. Lucie, Florida

Metro Population: 454,482 

Median Home Price: $211,083 

Net Migration: 10.24% 

4. Daytona Beach, Florida

Metro Population: 623,675

Net Migration: 10.35% 

3. Sarasota, Florida
