Geithner: US Seized Almost $32 Billion in Libyan Assets

Treasury Secretary Timothy F. Geithner said the U.S. has seized a total of almost $32 billion in Libyan assets after locating $1.9 billion in “the last couple of days.” The U.S. said Feb. 28 it had frozen $30 billion.

Geithner was speaking today at a hearing of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee in Washington.
