Fort Worth tops the 60 biggest U.S. cities for job seekers, according to personal finance web site
WalletHub.
It ranked cities using 13 metrics including job openings per capita, industry variety, cost of living and prevalence of employer-provided health benefits.
Four of the top six cities are in Texas, a state with no income tax. Washington came in second after Fort Worth, followed by Tampa, Fla.; Arlington, Texas; Dallas; and Austin.
Fort Worth is home to the country's fifth fastest falling unemployment rate, fourth largest portion of full-time employees and second most affordable housing, WalletHub says.

"Such dynamics, combined with the lack of either a state or local income tax, . . . are enough to make up for middle-of-the pack rankings when it comes to industry variety, healthcare coverage and the percentage of the workforce living below the poverty line," according to a WalletHub commentary.
Washington, meanwhile, "is about much more than politics and government jobs," WalletHub says. "The area also has a major presence in the banking, professional services, and tourism and hospitality industries."
Looking at cities' unemployment rates as of December, Bismarck, N.D.; Logan, Utah; and Midland, Texas, tied for first place at 2.8 percent, according to the
Labor Department. Fargo, N.D., placed fourth at 3 percent. Yuma, Ariz., came in last (372nd) with 27.1 percent unemployment.
