Atlanta Fed Lowers First Quarter GDP Growth Estimate to 2.0 Percent

The U.S. economy likely expanded at a 2.0 percent annualized rate in the first quarter in the wake of the March payrolls data released on Friday, the Atlanta Federal Reserve’s most recent GDPNow forecast model showed.

The latest estimate on gross domestic product was slowerthan the 2.3 percent growth pace calculated on April 5, theAtlanta Fed said.
